A DOOR WITH NO VIEW - Secret places of the Church.
I’ve ever considered my self a great photographer, but it doesn’t means that my shots are not interesting.
Everbody can see an object, but each of you will see it in a different way. That’s foreseeable! That which I consider important in photography, is giving the right relief to a detail. When I talk about a detail, I mean part of an object or, even more interesting, part of an entire composition made up by more then one single object.

Here’s one of my shots, taken in Rome, while strolling around the Phanteon. In this circumstance, anybody is attracted by the great and famous monuments around. Moreover, this area is characterized by imponent buildings with bright colors (orange, yellow, red) and, for that reason, a small little black door goes in background.
That’s the reason why, i found it really interesting. Just a small detail, in a wonderful place full of attractions.
The dark corridor you can see on the left, lead to the Chiostro della Minerva (part of the Santa Maria sopra Minerva’s church), which is close to the public (I’ve been luck to get in 2 times!).
Now that you know more about this door, you may understand also the underline meaning of it!
A black hidden decadent door, which smother great works of fine art.
