Tribute to Joel Spolsky - How I imagine the setting of Martian Headsets
Here is it! This image is the most representative of <art>IMHO</art> aim.
A few months ago, I was talking with Maghis (software developer of DomainsBot), a friend of mine, in front of a limoncello’s glass.
He told me: “Hey Mamby! I read a great article about market and web standards on Joel Spolsky’s blog! Have a look on it!”
Me: “Joel? Who’s Joel?”
Maghis: “A great software developer. He has been the program manager on the Microsoft Excel Team”
Me: “Uhm, interesting. Where did I find that article?”
Maghis: “Joelonsoftware.com”
Me: “Got it! I’ll check it out!”
Back at home, I read the article.
In that days I was working on a project in which the generated content of the webpages was variable, depending on the user request. For that reason, I met some style sheet incompatibility issues in the different browsers.
Day by day I finally fixed all the “bugs”. While doing it, I kept thinking over Martian headsets.
Some days later, I decided to shut down every video games and use my free time to open up Adobe Illustrator and give a shape to that kind of “vision”.
That’s the story of Martian Headsets illustration.
I don’t think that this post is interesting, but I hope you will enjoy the artwork.
Martian Headset is the start-up concept of my blog: “Art stay in unexpected places. And, in some places, a nerd is the only who can get it“.
